  • Diversity, life histories and ecology of helminths in natural ecosystems

  • Application of techniques of DNA analysis to parasite identification.

  • Use of multivariate analyses and DNA techniques in estimating the morphological and genetic variation among natural parasite populations

  • A molecular approach in assessing species diversity in the trematode genus Echinostoma (Digenea: Echinostomatidae), funded by The Systematics Association, UK (1999-2000)

  • The structure and organization of helminth communities in reptiles from the Palaearctic, co-funded by the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences and the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (1997-2000)
